Events - Refund Policy
Full Refund
A full refund of your payment is available only as stated in the Cost & Payment
section of the event you have registered for (located near the bottom of the event's details page).
Typically, a registration/payment cutoff date several weeks prior to the start of the event is established as the deadline
to receive a full refund. However, for some events a full refund may not be offered at all. If you
have any questions about the conditions necessary to receive a full refund, please e-mail the
Event Coordinator.
Partial Refund
A partial refund (not to exceed your payment price minus a 10% penalty) may be available after
the registration/payment cutoff date for a full refund under the following conditions:
- You must cancel your registration and request a refund at least two weeks prior to the
start of the event. A cancellation and refund request must be made through the
Member Area of the
web site if you are member. Non-members may submit their cancellation and refund request
by sending an e-mail to the Event Coordinator.
- No refund will be offered if the Maryland Outdoor Club is unable to secure another
participant to fill the spot you have vacated.
- Any event cost that is not recoverable by the Maryland Outdoor Club (such
as a pre-payment to an outfitter or supplier) is not eligible for a refund.
- If applicable, the outfitter or supplier must allow for a substitution
of participants on the event.
- If a partial refund is offered, it will be made via check. Please allow two to four weeks to receive your refund.
- If you have any questions about the conditions necessary to receive a partial
refund, please e-mail the Event Coordinator.
Abuse of this policy will lead to restrictions on cancellations for particular members. Please cancel with good reason (injury, sick, family emergency).

Maryland Outdoor Club, Inc. survives off the support of volunteers and donations.
Please note that the MOC waiver
MUST be signed by each individual to allow participation in an event.
